Senior Sun Solaris Systems Administrator
We are looking for a competent “Senior Systems Administrator -Sun Solaris” with the following skills and experience to be based at Jakarta:
Skills /Expertise:
1. Candidate should possess at least 8+ years experience in UNIX Systems Administration, preferably with the Solaris Operating System;
2. Good knowledge of Solaris 8, 9 and 10 – with a good understanding of the new features
availability in Solaris 10
3. Good knowledge of Veritas Clustering (preferred) or Sun Clustering e.g. Sun Cluster 3.1 or higher;
4. Knowledge of Veritas products and their deployment eg. VSF-HA, VSF Storage
Foundation, etc
5. Knowledge of Oracle Weblogic is an advantage
6. Possess 5+ years experience in SAN administration, preferably with large scale SAN environments.
7. Experience working with Sun SE9980, SE9990 SAN infrastructure, Veritas NetBackup
8. Posess 2+ years experience writing scripts e.g. Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, etc
9. Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP
10. Strong motivational skills
11 Experience managing infrastructure projects, preferably with accreditation in a Project
Management Methodology
Responsibilities:
* Working with project teams to define the server and storage infrastructure
requirements for new and updated systems
* Creating detailed solution designs to meet the server and storage infrastructure
requirements defined by projects
* Provide advice and knowledge on industry best practice in infrastructure architecture
standards
* Perform capacity management & planning, availability management and planning, and
performance management and planning for all UNIX servers and storage infrastructure
environment
* Assist and, where required document, new/updated operational procedures to be used
by on-site Systems Administration and remote Remote Operations Management
1. Delivery as part of Production Support.
2. To be responsible for:
1. Architecture Standards
2. New Systems Deployment
3. Incident / Problem Management
4. Change /release Management
5. Operations Projects
Position: Based at Jakarta for a 2 years contract, end user environment.
