KYC/AML Manager Role – 6 Month Assignment
Regional Role – Institutional Banking
Our client has a very strong presence in Asia, USA and Europe, operating in more than 30 is now seeking a KYC/AML manager for a 6 month assignment.
In this role you will be responsible for managing minimum of 6 staff members for looking overseeing AML/KYC issues for Institutional Banking Clients.
This team looks at client identification program/KYC documentation relating to account openings and ensure accounts are opened in compliance with regulations set out by the authorities as well as the company’s policies.
Main responsibilities include overall management of:-
* Client identification & verification: review of KYC documentation; analyze ownership structures/contractual relationships of hedge funds and complex/layered entities in identifying ultimate beneficiaries and controlling authorities.
* Know Your Customers process: review KYC questionnaires regarding expected origins of funds, investment objectives, how front desks get to know the clients and establish business relationships, interview front desks and liaise with clients.
* Money Laundering Prevention Group/Financial Crime Prevention & Intelligence Unit: co-ordinate with Due Diligence Research team to run due diligence reports and perform enhanced due diligence on high risk clients e.g. clients located in a NCCT country or Tier 4 country, report suspicious clients/transactions.
* Business liaison on account opening matters: coverage includes capital markets e.g. hedge funds, direct market access, private investment companies, prime brokerage, fixed income/equities cash, high yield/distressed debt, risk solutions products., derivatives/structured products, energy trading, and also investment banking.
* Compliance/regulatory advisory related to account opening: advising on different jurisdictions requirements, including US SEC 15a6-rule, US Patriotic Act, HK SFC/UK FSA AML requirements, Japan Privacy Laws, liaison with compliance for documentation waiver and/or approval.
* Training: provide businesses and Support & Control (“S&C”) teams training sessions on account opening requirements and procedures.
To succeed in this role, you will be degree qualified with at least 3 years of management experience in KYC/AML focusing on Investment or Corporate Banking
Have a good understanding of procedures for KYC/AML
Equity Analyst Operations – Settlements
Supporting the local Domestic Market for an Investment Bank, this role would require you to settle trades for Singapore Equities and be responsible for pre matching of trades; reconcile cash and stock, failed trade management. Ideally you will have gained at least 2 years of experience in custody or Investment Banking Equity Settlement environment.
AVP – Fixed Income
Reporting to the VP in Securities Operations, your role as an AVP will be to manage and supervise the fixed income securities settlement operations.
In this role, your tasks will be to ensure fixed income trades are processed and settled in both the ICDS’s and Global markets in Asia, US and Europe. The position requires daily interaction with custodians, counterparties, middle office and finance on trade related queries.
You will also be required to perform the following.
Daily work flow
* Provide ongoing training to staff
* Manage the work flow and liaise with counterparties on any trade related issues
* Review SOP’s and revise them when needed to improve the control framework in the department
* Review MIS reports
* Work with reference data with regards to any changes in counterparty details, account opening etc.
* Client and management reporting
* Escalating issues to senior management arising from daily work
* Staff Appraisals
* Regulatory Reporting
* Managing failed trades and breaks
* Work on business cases for process improvements within the department
For you to succeed in this role, you would have ideally worked in an Investment Bank in securities operations with at least 4years of fixed income settlements experience and supervisory experience.
Types of knowledge you will need to have understood is brokerage fees, collateral payments, reconciliations, payments, custody business, how it works.
